What Does a Day in Our Spa and Hammam Look Like?

Kese scrubs, foam massage, hot stones and aromatherapy… We walk you through the treatments in our spa, how long they take and what to know before…

Tatil Önerileri

Our spa is on the lower floor of the hotel, in a 900-square-metre indoor space. It is home to a traditional Turkish hammam, a sauna, a steam room, an indoor pool and six individual massage rooms. The spa is open every day from 09.00 to 21.00; massage treatments require an appointment.

The Hammam Ritual

Our classic hammam treatment lasts around 60 minutes and has three stages. First, you warm up on the heated marble navel stone; this part is important to get you perspiring and should not be rushed. The second stage is the kese, in which a silk mitt is used to remove dead skin. Third comes the foam massage, prepared with olive oil soap.

  • Classic Hammam (60 min): Warm-up, kese scrub, foam massage, hair wash
  • Hammam + Clay Mask (80 min): The classic treatment with added body clay and a rest break
  • Couples' Ritual (90 min): A treatment for two in our private hammam

Massage Treatments

Our massage menu is organised around what guests are looking for. Those arriving tired from a long journey usually opt for a classic Swedish massage; for stiffness in the back and neck, deep tissue is a better fit.

Hot Stone Massage

Basalt stones are heated to around 50 degrees and placed along the back. It is an effective way to relax the muscles, although it is not recommended for anyone with low blood pressure. Duration: 75 minutes.

Aromatherapy

You choose one of three oils: lavender, orange blossom or rosemary. The treatment follows a gentler rhythm and suits guests whose sleep patterns have been disrupted. Duration: 50 minutes.

We recommend avoiding a heavy meal before your massage, and resting for at least half an hour afterwards while drinking plenty of water.

Deep Tissue Massage

Designed for the tension that builds up in the back and shoulders of those who spend long hours at a desk. As the pressure is noticeably firmer than in a classic massage, your therapist will adjust the intensity with you throughout. It is normal to feel slight muscle soreness the next day. Duration: 60 minutes.

Sauna, Steam Room and Indoor Pool

These three areas need no appointment and are free to use throughout your stay. The dry sauna is kept at around 85 degrees; if it is your first time, the best approach is to go in for rounds of 8-10 minutes and cool down in between. The steam room is milder but very humid, so guests with respiratory conditions should take care. The indoor pool is kept at a constant 28 degrees and is open all year round; 07.00 - 09.00 in the morning is usually the quietest time.

Before You Book

Guests under 16 may use only the indoor pool area of the spa, accompanied by an adult; hammam and massage treatments are for adults. If you are pregnant, or have a heart condition or a skin problem, simply let us know when booking and we will plan your treatment accordingly.

A bathrobe, slippers and a peştemal (traditional hammam towel) will be waiting for you at the entrance, so there is no need to bring your own. A swimming cap is required for the indoor pool and is available from reception. Please arrive ten minutes before your appointment; if you are late, your treatment time may be shortened.

If you are staying for more than three nights, we recommend taking a look at our spa packages. Three-treatment packages are noticeably better value than booking each one separately, and you can spread the appointments across any days you like during your stay.
