In the hotel business, prices move with occupancy. A week in July that opens in January at 15 per cent occupancy will see the nightly rate for the very same room rise noticeably once it reaches 80 per cent in May. That is the most visible benefit of booking early – but it is not the only one.
How Big Is the Price Difference?
According to last season's records, bookings made in January and February for the July-August period were on average 25-30 per cent cheaper than the June price for the same room type. The gap widens further for room types in limited supply, such as the Sea View Room and the Junior Suite, because these fill up early and the last remaining units always sell at the highest rate.
Beyond Price: Choosing Your Room
Our hotel has 12 Sea View Rooms, 6 Junior Suites and a single Royal Suite. By midsummer, the answer to "Are there any rooms left?" for these is usually no. Guests who book early can often specify not just the room type but also their preferred floor and aspect.
- Floor preference: On the upper floors the horizon is completely unobstructed; on the lower floors the pool is easier to reach.
- Aspect: West-facing rooms look directly onto the sunset, and are also better suited to anyone bothered by the morning sun.
- Adjoining rooms: For larger families, two rooms side by side can only be set aside if requested early.
Cancellation and Amendment Terms
The hesitation we hear most about booking early is: "What if my plans change?" With our flexible rates, you can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before your arrival date. Date changes can also be made free of charge, provided they fall within the same season.

How Does Payment Work?
When you book early, you don't have to pay the full amount up front. As standard, we take a 30 per cent deposit to secure the booking, with the balance payable on arrival. You can pay the deposit by credit card or bank transfer; if you choose bank transfer, your confirmation email is sent once we have received the payment receipt.
Your rate is fixed at the moment you book. Even if room prices rise during the season, the amount you confirmed stays the same – the most tangible reward of booking early.
When Should You Book?
In our experience, two periods stand out. For a summer holiday, January to February is the ideal window: prices are at their lowest and the full range of rooms is still available. For autumn and winter stays, planning two months ahead is usually enough, as occupancy rises more slowly at those times of year.
Religious holidays are the exception. Bookings for the Ramadan Bayram and Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) weeks usually close three months in advance, and rooms only become available again through the cancellation list.
