The success of a family holiday often comes down to the small details. Whether the cot fits in the room, where the shallow end of the pool is, what time dinner starts – little things like these shape the whole day. Below, we have brought together the topics families ask us about most often.
Choosing Your Room
For families with two children, the Family Room is the best layout: a connecting passage separates the parents' area from the children's, so the whole room doesn't have to be plunged into darkness once the little ones are in bed. For those travelling with one child, a Deluxe Room is usually enough; simply mention that you need an extra bed when booking.
- Cots and high chairs are free of charge; numbers are limited, so please request them in advance.
- Socket covers and a safety lock for the balcony door can be fitted in your room on request.
- Alcoholic drinks can be removed from the minibar on request.
- Ground-floor rooms are more practical for families who would rather not wait for the lift.
Pool and Sea
The children's section of the outdoor pool is separate from the main pool and is 40 centimetres deep. A lifeguard is on duty from 09.00 to 19.00; outside these hours the pool is closed. In the indoor pool, children's hours are 10.00 - 12.00, when the water temperature is raised by a few degrees.
The shoreline at our hotel beach is pebbly. We recommend bringing water shoes for young children; you can also hire them on the beach, though the range of sizes may be limited.
A Word About the Sun
In Antalya, the sun is very strong between 11.00 and 16.00 from June to August. Keeping children in the shade during these hours is the simplest way to avoid spending the rest of the holiday nursing sunburn. The shaded areas by the pool don't need booking – they are first come, first served.
Mealtimes
Breakfast is served from 07.00 to 10.30, and dinner from 19.00 to 22.00. Families with children usually find it easier to come down for dinner at 19.00, before the restaurant gets busy.
Our kitchen can prepare food separately for gluten, lactose and peanut allergies. Simply let us know when you book.
The children's menu always includes pasta, grilled chicken, köfte (meatballs), vegetable purée and a fruit plate with no added sugar. If you need baby food warmed up, just ask a member of the restaurant team; there is a dedicated area in the kitchen for this.
What to Pack
A few things are not sold at the hotel or are in limited supply; bringing them from home beats hunting for a pharmacy halfway through your holiday.
- High-factor, water-resistant sun cream for children
- Armbands or a life jacket (the sizes available to borrow at the pool are limited)
- Nappies and baby wipes; the nearest shop is a five-minute walk from the hotel
- A light cardigan for days when the evenings turn cool
- Your child's familiar pillow or toy, to help keep their sleep routine on track
What Is There to Do During the Day?
The hotel's kids' club is open every day from 10.00 to 17.00, with colouring, treasure hunts and pool games for 4 to 12-year-olds. Nearby, Antalya Aquarium and the Sand Sculpture Museum are the two most convenient options for a half-day outing with children. Both are less than fifteen minutes from our hotel and can be reached by public transport.
